You need a working flashlight or other emergency lighting device available for use as an emergency light source. If you use a flashlight you will also need extra batteries for it. The deadbolt lock on the front emergency exit door automatically locks when the door is closed. The door handle must automatically unlock from the inside when the door knob is turned.
