Disaster/emergency plans, which are located within the licensee's Parent Policy Handbook do not include: -Procedures for severe wind storm and power outage, which is the most common weather related emergency in Snohomish County. -A procedure if the provider experiences a sudden emergency and children may be left unsupervised. -What to take when evacuating children including first aid kit, medication of individual children (if applicable) and child medication records. -How children will be evacuated, especially those that cannot walk independently -How children will be reunited with their parents after the event -How the provider will communicate with state and local officals after the earthquake ends to determine if it is safe to return to the home child care -How parents will be contacted after the emergency ends The Plan is not reviewed at program orientation with staff with document signatures.
